Design

Smooth and silky, competent-looking but not overdone, there is little on the outside of this MBZ that alludes to the fact that its 612 bhp V12 shoots this ride to 60 mph in under five seconds. Surprisingly refined at speed, the 65 has a very refined suspension that makes this a “point and go” driver. The satisfying exhaust growl is nice, too!

Installation

The audio system upgrade began with replacing the factory radio with an Alpine DVD/CD player with iPod connectivity and Sirius satellite radio. The factory speakers were replaced with a set of Focal Utopia Be 3-Way components. The crossover for the Focals was mounted in the trunk. The system is powered by a pair of Alpine PDX digital amplifiers, mounted in a custom amplifier rack. The car received a complete AMG kit and a carbon fiber interior upgrade.
