Design
Our Escalade is definitely a statement vehicle. The entire audio system is driven by the factory head unit, demonstrating that incredible audio systems can be based on the factory radio. Secondly, this system reminds everyone that car audio is fun! It’s not a practical design and extensive vehicle modifications were necessary. However, the principals apply to anyone’s car, truck or SUV…add better amplifiers, speakers and subwoofers and your factory radio will allow your ride to sound amazing.
Installation
The entire vehicle was gutted for this installation and covered with Dynamat sound deadening materials. The Rockford T15KW amp is one of only eight that exist in the world. It has a retail price of $25,000 and puts out 15,000 watts of power. Three additional batteries and an upgraded alternator are used to power the system up. To bring all of this power to the listener, ten pairs of Rockford 6-1/2″ components were installed in the front and rear doors, which were custom fabricated for the speakers. Eight 15″ Rockford subs fire into the interior of the SUV. All of this is driven by the factory radio using a Rockford-Fosgate 3SIXTY.2 audio processor. An air suspension system raises the car for daily driving on the 24’s, and slams it down for show. Look for this ride at any Al & Ed’s event. You can put on our protective headphones, sit inside and feel what 150dB of autosound is like.

Open up the back, though, and the incredible, hand-crafted Rockford-Fosgate amp comes into view.
The T15KW puts out 15,000 watts of power. There are only eight existing in the world, and they retail for $25,000!!!!
The Rockford-Fosgate 3SIXTY.2 is an audio processor that allows the factory head unit to be used to power up aftermarket amplifiers. It also tunes the system using wireless Bluetooth technology.
Eight 15 " Rockford Power series subs pound bass into the car.
Each door was custom fabricated to show off the Rockford-Fosgate 6-1/2" component speakers.
The controls for the AirRide suspensio system are housed in the center console. The bass control knob for the 3SIXTY.2 is also mounted there, visible between the gauges.
Each A-Pillar houses the three tweeters for the mid-bass drivers mounted in the door. The mounting is all hand-fabricated.
