Design

When Chrysler first introduced the Neon, it was billed as a “happy little car”. All of the television commericals showed a white Neon with a big smile on its face. Well, this bright orange Neon with the carbon fiber hood and trunk puts a big smile on the driver’s face. The stock engine was pretty peppy, but with the internal mods plus an intercooled turbocharger, this one really gets it on. Lowered suspension with high-rate springs, anti-roll bars and strut stiffening bars make this Neon hang in the corners, too. The interior was redone in orange and black suede to match the custom paint on the outside of the car. It really gets looks, but for most people, it will only be the back end as it pulls away.

Installation

The factory head unit was replaced with an Alpine DVD/CD player. The customer’s Kicker amplifier and Solobaric sub were installed in a hand-built fiberglass enclosure in the trunk. It was covered in suede cloth to match the interior of the vehicle. A pair of Alpine headrest monitors keep the rear passengers entertained. The vehicle received a complete sound-deadening package of Dynamat, and Monster Cable power wire and interconnects hooks everything up.
