Design
Without question, one of the most beautiful car designs of the sixties, the 1968 Chevy Camaro convertible screams California Cruizin’. How do you improve on this classic? Easy. Take it to the boys over at Al & Ed’s in West Los Angeles for a sound performance upgrade. From the outside, the vehicle looks totally stock, but it has all kinds of custom touches.
Installation
The vehicle was beautifully restored when Al & Ed’s got their hands on the car. The vehicle received a complete sound deadening treatment with Dynamat. Monster Cable power and interconnects are used to connect all of the electronics. The Eclipse head unit was mounted in the factory location, but required a custom, fiberglass mount to be fabricated. Each kick panel was built in fiberglass to accept the Focal 3-way components. The subwoofer enclosure is mounted behind the rear seat. A custom amp rack shows off the three Focal amplifiers. The car sounds awesome and makes for a great day of driving down PCH (that’s Pacific Coast Highway for all of you non-locals out there).
