Design

Arguably one of the nicest looking cars on the road, pull the top down on a 6-Series BMW and the looks factor goes up a ton. With the AC Schnitzer kit, it’s an even more dynamic looking car. The ACS kit includes front and rear facias, side skirts and a rear spoiler. Inside, there is a silver carbon fiber accent package, machined aluminum pedals and a custom i-Drive knob. It’s a beautiful ride, tailor-made for sunny California!

Installation

Whenever Al & Ed’s technicians encounter a vehicle that utilizes a factory monitor to display mulitple vehicle functions, they integrate with that monitor using one of our Vehicle Integration Processors. In this case, the Alpine Vehicle Hub was used to bring iPod playback, XM Radio and Navigation through the factory system. This vehicle also received an complete AC Schnitzer conversion, including body kit, rear spoiler, wheels, exhaust and interior upgrades.

Design

The BMW 6-Series is one of the best luxury performance automobiles on the road today. When BMW upgrades it to an “M” series ride, it gets serious…really fast. The V10 engine produces over 500 horsepower and almost 390 ft. lbs. of torque. Zero to 60 arrives in less than five seconds. Its independent suspension receives “M Calibration” for improved handling in turns and at high speeds. Add a complete AC Schnitzer conversion, and this car turns heads at break-neck speed.

Installation

The M-Series 6 comes with a 5.1 processed sound system from the factory, but the speakers and amps are way too mainstream for most audiophiles. A Rockford-Fosgate 3SIXTY.2 was used to integrate the Alpine PDX amplifiers with the factory head unit. This allows our installers to greatly improve the sound system in the vehicle without changing the factory radio. Focal 3-way component speakers were built into the factory locations, but the door panels were modified to accept the beefier speakers. With new leather and custom grills, the doors look totally factory. Two JL Audio subwoofers add bass. The car has amazing imaging and great sound. Finally, an Escort SRX radar detector and laser scrambling system was added, just in case this car accidentally sneaks over the speed limit.

Design

The BMW 7-series are comfortable and competent road cars with lots of power and great handling. WIth the black on black treatment this car received it has a the look of a stealth fighter. The Asanti rims, with their chrome lips and blacked out centers, look even bigger than they are. The car is slick, smooth and stealthy.

Installation

Utilizing the factory radio, Al & Ed’s technicians interfaced with the factory monitor to include iPod control and more. The power of this system is more than enough, with three JL Audio amplifiers pumping out more than 1,600W of power. The Focal speakers and JL Audio subs sound awesome, reproducing every detail in the music. A pair of Alpine headrest monitors keeps the rear-seat passenger entertained, as if 100+ mph freeway runs aren’t enough. The amps were beautifully installed in a fiberglass enclosure and false floor built into the trunk. Clear plexi adds some bling factor to the install. Custom fiberglass kicks for the speakrs look factory.

BMW Isetta

Design

The BMW Isetta was the first post-WWII production vehicle that BMW manufactured. Licensed from the Italian manufacturer, Iso, the car is powered by a 300cc BMW motorcycle engine putting out approximately 15 hp. One of the unique features of the little Isetta is that the entire front of the car opens to gain access to the interior. This vehicle was completely disassembled, literally down to the last nut and bolt, and lovingly reassembled with NOS or restored parts. Its top speed is about 45 mph.

Installation

The vehicle was completely stripped. The body received a soda-blast cleaning prior to body work. It was then primed, and shot with a custom mix of Porsche Red and white paint. While the body and paint work was being done, the chassis, suspension and engine were all taken apart, plated or powder-coated and rebuilt to better-than-new specs. The vehicle was completely soundproofed with Dynamat sound deadening material. Custom steel panels were welded in place for the Focal speakers and Kenwood touch screen mounting points. After the amplifier, subwoofer, speakers and other electronics were installed, the interior was stitched up from imported leather from Argentina. The red and white, pleated leather follows the paint scheme, and has the correct, late ’50s look and feel. The car starts and runs beautifully, and sounds incredible.
