This Rolls Royce Phantom was one of the first to be customized in the U.S.
Back in 2005 when the Rolls Royce Phantom was just released most people had not even had an opportunity to see one in real life. Not only was Al & Eds Autsound in West Hollywood, Ca one of the first shops to work on one but we also were the first to develope two items that are used throughout the industry today.
The first item we co-developed were “floating” center caps for after market wheels. Since the Phantom was the first car that we ever saw that had the RR logo always staying still (floating) while the wheels were turning we knew that we had to figure out a way to keep that feature with new 24″ wheels. These were incorporated with the 24″ NC Forged Xtreme 10 chrome wheels.
The second item we co-developed was an on screen auxilary video and audio interface. This module permitted us to not interface the Alpine Vehicle HUb to display iPod, XM Radio, back up camera, Alpine navigation and DVD on the factory front screen. A 10″ rear flip down monitor was installed and it also interfaces with the front screen entertainment or can be enjoyed on its own with wireless headphones.
We also upgraded the front brakes to eight piston custom made yellow Brembo brakes.
