In preparation for the Italian Stampede. Al & Eds Autosound in West Hollywood, CA took a plain 2011 Maserati QP S and made is rally worthy.Keeping the stock 20″ tires per the customers request we teamed up with Forgiato and outfitted the car with Dieci-ECL wheels finished in matte black. Once the wheels were on it was obvious that the car needed to be lowered. New springs were installed to insure the proper ride height and overall appearance. Alpine Vehicle Hub Pro with the “Orb” controller mounted in the center console. This system will display a back up camera, Apine navigation, DVD movies and iPod all on the factory radio screen.

A JL Audio 12″ W3 series subwoofer was custom installed in the trunk. Powered by an Alpine PDX Series digital 600 watts amplifier this truly compliments the factory audio system.

This Maserati is fun to drive the only thing missing what an audio system that sounded good. The first thing we did was replace the factory radio with an Alpine 7″ motorized flip out IVA-D106 radio. This radio now allows you to control am/fm/cd/dvd/iPod all from the built in touch screen.

Next we replced the front and rear speakers with Focal K2 Power series.

For bass we used a JL Audio 10W3 series woofer and installed it in a custom made fiberglass enclosure in the trunk.

To allow proper control and power to each speaker we installed two Alpine PDX-4.150 amplifiers in the trunk totalling over 1200 watts of power.

The best part of this audio system upgrade is the Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.2 processor with 153 bands of equalization, time alignment and an independent subwoofer control knob. After we install this device and hook it up to our laptop via bluetooth we can control and tune each speaker in the car independently.
